i'm finally watching Nemo and the sight of the turtles swimming made me cry. aww... what an awesome sight.
so anyways a friend of mine said that her bro-in-law has taken to keeping a sea-water tank full of nemos(clownfish) and that one batch has died when he didn't break them into the tank properly.
:( so you all knows, if not now you do, all if not most sea-water fish are forcefully taken from the sea to be sold in shops. they are not bred in farms like fresh water fish.
what that means is that like Nemo, whatever you have in your tank have probably been 'kidnaped' from their homes in the sea and away from their parents so you can keep in a tiny fish tank at home. that is if they don't die first.

german holiday - pt 2
after coming back from Praque we embarked on the second leg of our bavarian holiday. the DH drove us to our first stop. my first B&B. it's such a lovely place by Lake Weissensee but we got there after dark, which was 5 pm eh heh heh.
so for most of the trip we stopped by little towns to have lunch and explore or shop. drive, eat, look, drive, stop, lookk, drive, eat, sleep. :P oh and book the room for the next night. yeah.
between the two fo us we're freckles heaven
such a pretty bed

Lake Bodensee (opposite the lake is switzerland)
see the snow capped mountains on the opposite bank? Switzerland!
as we drove inland we sighted more snow.. and it got more and more!
our second night was spent in the snow capped Black Forest. in october! there was a freak snow storm that swept across europe but only the mountainous had snow.
long but scenic drivesbtry ing to make sense of the infuriating GPRS system
cute little room in the black forest, night 3

not a beauty blog 2
my mao mao has the most gorgeous green eyes and i have been swatching green e/s for many weeks but none has met me expectations. but anyways. i swatched some Majo trick on in olivey green and LOOOOVE. it reminded me so much of my mao mao eyes.
here are the swatchs. the top green and from L to R accordingly.
all the browns match her fur. :))))) now all i need is a yellow. i use a gold to substitute. and if you notice the 2 doggies behind my arm, those will be my new projects from now.
something from the eighties, when i was in primary school! i was so excited to see them.

color me rainbow
let me just say that this is not going to turn into a beauty blog. i'm probably not going to put up pictures of the EOTD or FOTD. i'm talking about it now because it has become my current obsession. so much so that i have been reading beauty blogs for months.. since last year.. not sure when. i'm not even sure how i came across them but it has since accumulated to me buying a whole lot of samples from Meow Cosmetics. A LOT. i have been been interested in mineral makeup for a while but the drugstore brands always have talcum in them (me dun like) and i'm not about to invest in a whole pot since i have no idea which color foundation to choose. (i always find foundations prescribe to me a bit lighter than my neck, although i agree that my face is lighter than my neck since i use heavy duty sunblock)
to cut the long story short. Meow has 86 foundation shades! even better is that they sell them in 1USD samples. ah ha ha ha ! i selected almost all their range except for some cool/nuetral pink tones. (me is yella)
all the foundations and concealers are named after cat breeds. how cute is that! i have to get them. i got me some chartruex, manz, korat, abynissian, siamese, mau, sphynx, bengal and ocicat. some of these are probably going to be a but gray on me but what the heck, how many times will you be about to go to a counter and say,"can i have a pinch of that to try?"
also, check out their eyeshadows. they have so many to choose from. i showed the site to the DH (in china btw) and he immediately knows that i will buy something. :P
yes indeedy, i went berserk and selected like 20 over shades but i stopped myself shrt since i have never used any MMU before. in the end i narrowed it down to 14. it's still a lot. and i got them in puuurl and sparkle. no matt.. oooopps.
i was originally lemming for the 88 eyeshadow palatte. i'm a sucker for colors. it's like when i bought my caran d'Ache 120 color pencils i kept staring at them. i kept staring at the 88 eyeshadow palatte. it says,"buy me buy me buy me..." all the them. but i shall resist. i have bought MEOW! MEOW! MEOW!
which now gives me the excuse to get some more brushes from Beauty & Minerals. it's big, it's fluffy, most important of all it's PINK. i need me some flat top for my new minerals. eh heh heh heh.
these were introduced to me via Askmewhats. she also introduced these fabric panty liners to me. the shop also sells Mooncups! wOOt! i've been lemming after them.
i've actually already registered and have all that i want selected in the shopping cart. i just have not checked them out yet because i'm reluctant to spend any money. the reason will be revealed soon.

sunset with cows- German holiday Pt 1
i'm not a very good blogger am i? :P i guess it's because i am not really a multitasking person. or rather, my interests will wax and wane with time. i know that i never did blag about our glorious long holiday in Europe, or bits of it but i was walking home from my mum's today and i reminisced about the sunset and the sounds of cowbells in the Bavarian countryside. i really missed that and the romance of a pastoral life. to think that i've already come back from another holiday just this may. :P
we were in bits of europe for the longest time.. about 15 days in october of 2008. that's long in my account. we spent about 9 days in Munich and whilst the DH was having his training, i was exploring the town. i'll just recap some of my more memorable times.
of course one must not forget to mention all the lovely churches, all located around the Marienplatz. yes, i did managed to track down all the notable churches that was mentioned in the"Insight Guides". my favourite was the Assamkirche with all it OTT decorations.
i also had to climb up the St. Francis? church tower TWICE because the DH accidentally deleted all the photoes i took for the day. ( it included the all the lovely pictures of the churches and the view of most of Munchen.
view from top of St. Francis (at least i tihnk it is St. francis because apparently these photoes weren't labelled.)
check out the pizza! too bad we didn't have any because we were going to meet some other people for pork knuckles, yummy!
i collect a lot of these. i plan to turn them into a collage. one day.
one of the scenes that i hold dear in my heart was the sounds of the cow bells set against the setting sun. we were on our way back from one of our weekend excursions from visiting the Linderhof and Neuschwanstein. it was about 4 pm and the sun was setting behind the hills. the cows were grazing in the pastures and we stopped the car for photoes. everyone got out except me cos i was too lazy to put on shoes again. so i stuck my head out of the car window to admire the view, the radio was on so i didn't notice anything till i heard bells clanging softly. i turned down the sound and OOOooOOOoo.. such lovely music coming from the cow bells as they eat and shake their moo moo head. so romantic. *daydreams* i love love love Bavaria.

one of my favourite and most exciting day was when i visited the Deutches Museum. no explanations needed but i have to say that i wished i got there earlier cos i spent about 6 hours there till they had to close and i have not even seen the entire left wing.
boats and ships and planes and rockets. all real!!
