nails here, hair there.

i cut my hair. i don't like it. *sighs* i shoulda stuck to the bob. maybe i will wear my berets till it grows out and doesn't stick up all over the place.

i found the stick on nails that was given to me years ago. i'll probably never wear them but they sure are cute.

i also bought a huge bottle of Seche Vite on saturday. am i insane? the bestest fast dry top coat evah! 'cept for the smell...

some daylight pictures of the red gradation nails from last week.

decided to do a pink gradation love theme nails.

i made polymer clay ribbons and stuck one on my thumb. now i want to pluck it out. lol.

my favourite toes for the holidays. blue and frosty with snowflakes and snowman.

painted some penguins for a demanding colleague today. lol. she wanted all their expressions to be different. i think i actually succeeded.

did something edgy for another sweet colleague.

for another something sweet and pretty.

pink and red gradation nails

a colleague wanted to have gradation nails done and so i decided to practice my sponging skillz tonight. my nails routine are usually monday: nude nails for tuesdays meetings, thursday: extreme nailz for the weekend. sometimes more if i do not like what i have done. lolzzzz..

my red gradation nails are sponsered by base coat for the clear layer, sponged on pink 2nd layer, french tipped with the maroon and finally sponged on the jelly red glitter. maybe 3 to 4 layers of clear Nfu OH red opal glitter. plus mutiple top coats.

i think i am wearing about 11 layers of polish. or more! GOSH!

sponging is very messy business.

i am rather pleased with the result but my tip were so bloody looking it looked like i've clawed out flesh *shudders* so i smudged some newly acquired silver glitter on it.

the red opal flakes help to soften the effect. otherwise the nude areas are quite stark. next time i'll skip the dark maroon part for less of a halloween look.

my nails prior to the red bling nails. i love love love these pinks. totally flattering on me. but i totally failed at drawing laces.

was at bugis last night and dropped by the christmas fair. brain shut down and bought a Hello Kitty bag, *looks sheepish* i also took advantage of the Taka members sale and bought me 2 nail magazines.

one weekend, many changes

Ok, yesterday was not a good day for me. To cut the long story short, I admit I was at fault but the guy’s attitude was so bad I just refused to say sorry. And I think my PMS is really really bad, kind of like when I was suffering from a bout of hyperthyroidism. Very easily agitated and angered. Also, I am very thankful for my DH with his super calmful and sweet demeanor and settled the problem for me. Oh well, me= super b*t*h. *feels guilty*
It wasn’t a good nail day as well. I had to redo my toes twice! I kept messing up.

things i used.

This is what I ended up with.

you can see that it's really lumpy even before i mushed it.

It looks so yummy. Like strawberry chocolate. And it feels summery, wrong season for this look. I was really happy with it but it refuse to dry. I kinda mushed it when I was cleaning out the cat’s litter box so I ‘repaired’ the big toes and put a layer of seche vite in the end. It felt dry but, the pink layer didn’t dry all the way, even this morning! I could still put in dents. Bugger.

Totally removed yesterday’s work and decided to do a matching fall look. Unfortunately, smart me left 2/3 of the cool colors at work, including the gold sparkly stuff :(. I’m happy with what I came up with though, still in the dark mood it seems.

the arsenal for today. i don't think i can live withour Seche Vite ever again. it smooths out everything and dry super quick.

I’m sorry about the mess. i like to leave clean up to natural erosion. Haha. I do not think I shall be going out so imma leave the mess in. the sun decided to disappear today so no sunlight shots for now.

I’ve also got mah first ETSY sale! W00t! unfortunately, that particular item has been sold to another friend so I’ll have to make another one later. It means I’ll have to work with clay and that stuff will dissolve nail polish. Lol. I’ll schedule it with my next nail change.

New sofa. Now our place really looks like a resort.

it's been getting cold so the mao mao has been sleeping on the bed, on top of the fridge or anyplace that's sunny.

fall nails

my previous nails were beginning to chip at the cuticles so it's an excuse to do another mani. i've been itching to do something for fall so i dug up the bronze and golds.

today's mani has been sponsored by the following items.

base coat 1x, base color from face shop 2x, tip color from Elianto 2x. to smooth out the smile line i painted on top using TheFaceShop Gold glitter polish (Nail Pleasure) and then blur it by dabbing gently with a sponge. paint leaves using acrylic paint (Art Friend) and 2x top coat to smoothen the glitter out since i do not like to feel the bumps.

i also did my colleagues nails yesterday and today. tomorrow i've got another appointment. lol!

took some sunlight shots.

great big nail post amd photo spam

Now that I’ve stopped crafting I’ve been painting my nails. It seems that I keep buying polishes and I change colors about 3 times a week.
I had this bright idea to paint my nails to look like strawberries so I choose a bright pink. But I had 3 bright pinks and I wore 2 on alternate fingers for a day before deciding that neon pinks makes my fingers look dark and washed out.

i'm actually wearing 3 different pinks on my nails here. i wanted to try another shade.

i hated how neon pink make my fingers look so... i removed everything again and put on a dark green

i painted the leaves with a mix of greens (was trying to find something striking) and a dark berry red polish.

i didn't like how hard it was to draw with polish and that i don't have the right shades so i was lemming some acylic paints. so on friday i went to Art Friend and came back with these... heheheh

i also dropped by Etude House and got another 2 dark glittery colors. i'm really like dark colors on my fingers lately. it's either darks or nudes.

got tired of the bad job with the strawberries and got rid of them. decided to play with my new paints on saturday.

my left drawn by my right.

my right drawn by my left.

on sunday the DH wanted to "renovate" the bathtub so we spent a good part of the evening chipping away at the lime/grout. so my lovely green nails were a bit worn out (actually it was only a bit of tip wear and scratches that can be solved with a fresh top coat) and i decided on some new nails on monday.

what i used.

1x base coat, 2x sheer nude brown, 2x shimmery nude on tip. paint on flower petals(rose paint), dot the middle(cream) and dot the french tip smile line (peach), 2x seche vite for extra shine.

decorated my toes last night. i'm still sore about not perfecting strawberry nails.

Coddled Eggs

i was reading SuperKawaiiMama and i came across her recipe for coddled eggs.

i made some one day for dinner but i also put in some mushrooms and blue cheese for a bit of a kick!

i buttered the bread with the crusts cut off and pressed them down into muffin pans using my knuckles. the mushrooms were cooked with some butter and salt and pepper in the microwave. they'd be better if pan fried but i didn't want to soil another pan. :P

a tiny dollop of blue cheese was placed into the bread cups followed by some mushrooms.

3 eggs were lightly beaten with some salt, pepper and rosemary and spooned into the cups. bake for 220 for 10 mins, depending on how well cooked you like your eggs.

i served them with some ketchup.

they were good but not filling enough so the DH made some instant noodles to supplement the meal. LOL!

i've been playing with my nails. once i load them up we'll have NOTD posts!
