Etude House LUCIDarling collection

i ask my DH to help me haul some Etude HOuse's LUCIDarling collection. the promo pictures i saw on Gmarket were rather enticing and i had to get somethings to try.

the packaging were pretty and unique to their own. at least they do not remind me of anything other beauty brands. i like the ribbon details at the catch.

my first impression is the scent. when you open the lids of the blushes and lipstick, there's an overwhelming sweet raspberry smell. it's actually rather yummy but might be too cloying for some. luckily the scent does not persist after application. there's no obvious discernable scent from the eyeshadow palette.

Lipstick in 01.

the texture is ok, smooth but will ball up if your lips are not smooth. exfoliate lips prior to use. lasts pretty well, at least over breakfast and drinks. i always wipe my lips clean after food so i can't tell you how long it can last. probably 3 to 4 hours with the occasional drink.

e/s palette in #04 fully olive black. the promo pics make the colors look more blue but in actuality the liner is more of a bluish black, with a silvery blue and a vrey pretty taupy olive.

i used this with either with TFSI or Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy over Inovi eyebase. both works well with the e/s.

finger swatches, left to right, index is the highlight, middle is blue shade, ring is liner and pinkie is olive taupe.

back of had swatch, also without base, left to right, liner, blue shade, highlight and olive. bottom is lipstick in 01.

blushes in 01(pinks and purple) and 03(brown and peach corals)

too light to swatch, but does impart a pretty flush to cheeks. does not last long though. i've been using it over Skinfood's Agave BB cream.

a couple more pictures in different lightings.

hope this little review will aid you in your shopping.

pink vacation toes with Etude House #19 spangle purple

i wore this when i was on vacation. i took them off today cos the DH drop and rod on my toes and i had to check if they'd bruised.

for this look i used a base color from Rainbow which i got for 3$ and topped it off with #19 from etude. lastly i stuck some matchy dried flowers and plastic rhinestones.

extreme foot close up!

TheFaceShop WH003 with rainbow colours

i'm loving pretty pastels right now even though i try to stay with the seasonal trend of wintery colors. i'm trying to kill 2 birds with one stone by wearing both!

the base is WH003, a shimmery holographic white that goes on sheer and can be used as an overlay.

this is 2 coats of WH003 with random dots of Etude house GR602(bright green), EtudeH PK010(pink), TFS YL703(yellow) and TFS BL602(blue). finally i did an overlay with the WH003 again.

i wore this plain for a day but i have those little pots of coloured acrylic waiting for me to practice on.

Etude House #16 Spangle Silver

i'm really loving glittery nails at the 'mo. these were once again done in the gradation style with clear nail polish as the base. i wanted to let me nails take a break from dark colors because they're getting a little colored.

it's been really downcast lately. it's hard to catch the morning sun and my nails have chipped at the cuticles. i love to pluck at the lifting edges of polish and peel them off even though you're not supposed to.

the glitters are actually holographic and very pretty in the light.

Etude House nails

i'm back into painting my nails again since i'm not doing anymore crafty things that involves glue or thinner. not much anyways. i recently got myself some polish from EtudeHouse and i loved them. they're rather easy to apply and the colors are pretty. of course my Seche Vite top coat made drying a breeze.

i really missed using black polish, that last time was probably 11 years ago! i'm wearing the purple polish on my nails now. i loved those polishes so much that yesterday i popped into EtudeHouse again to hual me some more pretties. i had to exert much self control from buying up every available shade!

i can't wait to try everything. i'm definately going to have a long list for the DH when he goes to Korea next time.

i finally finished my baby mobile. my cousin was rather delighted with the doggies but we've since concluded that it will probably amuse the mother more than the babe.

the baby will be looking at a bunch of bums. ;)

korean hauls

my husband was in Seoul a few weeks ago and i gave him a rather long shopping list. to make things easier, i restricted my items from only Etude House and SkinFood and FaceShop. it rather amuses me that the reason for him to leave the hotel room besides going to work was only to eat, or to do shopping for me. the poor thing! even when i am not with him he seems to be shopping too...

i was about to run out of cleansing oil and face wash so that was included in the etude hauls. i also got the peeling kits since i am obsessed with removing dead skin as my pores clog easily and milia will form.

etude1

another lot of skin peels from the FaceShop. lovely stuff. the toe separators and samples were gifts, as well as the plastic bag underneath.

after he realised how cheap the sunblock were, the DH bought a couple more. we now have enough sunblock for the rest of the year! the DH knows a deal when he knows one. heeheehee!!

i love the masks from the FaceShop. most of them work more or less, but for the price there isn't very much to complain, except that they were a big big for my face.

sheet masks

various brushes from EtudeHouse and SkinFood

brushes

i rather like the skunk brush from etude and so far i'm using one of the e/s brush also from etude. it has a few hairs that poke but otherwise it is firm and i like it for blending. it is again a bit big for me. i like smaller brushed for more precise application since i like to go for super bright colours.

and finally some nail files and polishers

nail files

these were discovered by the DH on one of his previous trips. he was very excited with his find and is constantly showing off his shiny polished nails to me. i can never keep the shine on my nails from the constant washing and crafting and glue stuck on them. :P

lastly, i had a last minute list and they were some e/s. DH managed to get 2 out of the three. no pics for these :P

i must really thanks my very patient DH for offering to buy me things whenever he is away. the last time he got me ribbons from shanghai and i am very grateful for them.

my throat, nose and head is killing me. my is very "heaty" from durians and chempadaks! yummy tropical fruits with strong smells!
