Lunasol 2010 #2 nature green

as requested here are some pictures of finger swatches.

i tried to do them on the back of my hand but they're too sheer to show. as with Lunasol, it's full of pretty glitter and with a good primer will not drop into my eyes.

the colors are very wearable unlike some of the super vibrant greens that i favour.

Lavshuca Jewel Lips

the mailman came today and brought me these:

so very exciting. i have to say that the packaging is really cute but the product is really little. i paid about 19SGD each for these. i'm just really surpriced at the amount in there.

here are the swatches with and without flash.

i do not think i will get anymore of them, unless maybe as gifts.

my first swap and Lavshuca hauls

i had a spare brand new IMJU Deja vu fibrewig and decided to put it up for swap in MUA. some one contacted me about it and i decided to swap her for a MAC lipglass. Hello Kitty's "She Loves Candy"

LOL! my first MAC item and a Hello Kitty collection no less!

it's a light pink with gold glitter. I LIKE <3

i was reading some Taiwan and Japanese(can't read jappy but i like to look at pictures haha) and i saw the ad for the Lavshuca Dramatice Memory Rouge. oh my, my inner princess fell in love with the packaging and i decided that i must have it. in the end i tracked them down on Ebil Bay selling at a reasonable price. i bought 2.

i selected the colors based on the official swatches and looks plus swatches on LotusPalace

both colors came out nude on my lips. they're both pigmented enough to cover my mauvish colored lips. i lurved them to bits. so much so that i ordered another 2 more Mini Jewelry lips (Adambeauty) to try. i can't wait for them to arrive.

on sunday i bought a pitcher plant at the Pasar Malam.

i am extremely please with it. hopefully it will help reduce the fruitflies that are always in my apartment.

and here's the MAO MAO hamming it up.

Pre-dinner durian snack- purple swatches

So while waiting for the DH to come home for dinner i decided to swatch the purple palettes i have.

clockwises from top: CastleDew, Jill Stuart Fall 09 in Dazzling Moon, Dior Quint in Lilac 129

i only swatch the Purple colors and ignored the pink/glitters/darks

from top, Castledew(last 2 colors), Dazzling Moon(lilac n blue), Dior 129(right corner n middle)

About dazzling moon, it looks blue in the palette and it looks blue on my hand. But i have been wearing both the colors for the past 2 days and they show up purple on my lids albeit a bluish purple. not really a complaint since i <3 purples and they do look good. On Sunday, we went to the Toy, Animation and Comic convention.

My favouritest display by the Singapore Zoo.

the DH being unco-operative as usual

octopi always amuses me

the most spectacular booth would be the one from Blythe. lots of pretty dolls to look at.

Emma Goodness

i came across a mention of Emma Watson (Harry Potter fame) in the latest (July/Augest 2009) TeenVogue. anyhoos i went and look and i must say i was quite blown away by it. I really liked the whole set and tone of the shoot. edgy vintagy goth. i love the cloths and the make up and i think she's reeeeally pretty.

i'd like to dupe her look with the dark purple shadows (i think) and the mauvey lips. i might tottle down to kinokuniya and see if they stock this issue of TeenVogue. i think it's a keeper.

i'm thinking that the new Dior Night Butterfly might work well for this look.

I think this is an excuse for me to get the quint. tee hee. Haru from Rouge Delux has some nice swatches although she didn't like the texture much. Imma go a swatching when i get the chance...

why don't they ship outside the US?!?

I'd love to get my hands on the UDPP even though i'm already using TFSI, which i love btw. any then one of those shadow palettes. haha.

Online and Pigment hauls

my Fyrinnae package came today. i'm so excited! i cannot wait to try them out tomorrow. i took a picture but now i have a problem. the interface in this here blog has changed and i cannot find the 'add photoes' clicky button thingy. or anything else for that matter.

*goes off to explore*

i'll be back when i figure this thing out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
oh bugger, the tabs still wouldn't load properly. i've decided to add pictures manually via html codes "_"
my Fyrinnae package came wrapped up in the most adorable panda wrapping paper. i bought a few colours from their endangered species line, namely snow leopard and meerkat but they sent me koala free!
fyrinnae haul
i've done a small swatch test and i have to say i love all the colors. however, as their site had stated, it's better to pat than to sweep on the colors to achieve maximum effect.
as opposed to the above, my Meow Cosmetics package came wrapped in the kitchiest leopard wrapper. *loves*
meow colors
i kinda "pressed" all the e/s pigments using toner into a lip palette for ease of use. i kinda like most of the colors, except a dark purple that i dug out and threw away, as well as the gold in the corner. it got flaky after i pressed it. i'm going to replaced the spaces with another liner that is still in the ziplock bag.
pressed meow
i ordered almost all the shades of the foundations in 'naughty' and some in 'frisky' and 'fierce'. i really like the foundation, it's very finely milled(i can see the powder flying when i whisk my brush) and feels light as air.
now all i have to do is wait for my Aromaleigh package to arrive before i make my next purchase again. i've run out of the foundation samples from Meow and i still need to sample another few shades. :P all the ones i bought were too dark!
besides makeup i also bought me some cloth panty liners and the ladycup from Tiny Tapir, which arrived just in time for me to use. TMI coming up!
the cloth pads all washed and ready for use.
cloth pads
they're really comfy and didn't make me itch. might be a bit bulky though so no wearing skintight pants/tights.
the LadyCup is a menstrual cup that you pop inside yourself much like a tampon. however what it does is that it stores the secretions rather than absorbing it. it promises to have an even lower risk of TSS than tampons.
ladycup1
ladycup2
it was a bit wide to manuveur inside but once it's in it's rather comfortable. also, no more pads for me! i try not to be responsible for disposing of plastics into the environment. i might however buy the smaller ladycup instead. :P
so that's all i have bought online for now. blogging is so tuff when you have to type in codes.. arrgghh!!
